MIAMI (Sept. 22, 2016) – Endeavor Miami will honor Jessica Goldman Srebnick, CEO of Goldman Properties and Co-founder and CEO of Goldman Global Arts, at its third annual gala, to be held at Soho Studios in Wynwood on Saturday, Oct. 22. Goldman Srebnick has played a major role in the development of Miami’s ever-growing Wynwood Arts District, including the Wynwood Walls expansion. A serial entrepreneur, Goldman Srebnick has also contributed to the recent renovation of Miami’s new Hard Rock Stadium by commissioning giant street art murals to decorate the venue through her newest company, Goldman Global Arts.
An Endeavor honoree is a change agent whose innovation disrupts the status quo and contributes to Miami’s high-impact entrepreneurship movement. Since 2012, Goldman Srebnick has been at the helm of Goldman Properties, an award-winning real estate and development company credited to revitalizing the Wynwood neighborhood. Founded in 1968, Goldman Properties is now considered the go-to creative real estate company for the revitalization of at-risk neighborhoods.
“Our company’s vision is to create and differentiate pedestrian neighborhoods,” said Goldman Srebnick. “Each neighborhood has its own DNA and soul. We use different forms of art to accentuate that soul and make the neighborhood more accessible and inviting to the public.”
True to their vision, Goldman Properties has a long history within the city and has helped transform Miami into the cosmopolitan metropolis that it is today. Their recent work within the Wynwood Arts District has not only helped foster a budding artist community, but it has also advanced entrepreneurial growth.
“Miami is an extraordinary laboratory of opportunity and ideas,” said Goldman Srebnick. “It is the perfect ecosystem to try new things. We are a transformational and aspirational city, one that has matured to the true international destination that still has room for growth an exploration. Together we should have a goal of making Miami the perfect case study for what happens when entrepreneurial spirit is set free.”
Goldman Srebnick emphasizes her belief that being an entrepreneur is a “state of mind” and that she strives to create business out of passions, when discussing her own entrepreneurial career. Passion, creativity, courage and the desire to make a difference are all traits that she finds common in entrepreneurs that will find success.
When asked what advice Goldman Srebnick would offer new or prospective entrepreneurs, she said, “Don’t be afraid to take risks and surround yourself with people who are as passionate as you are.”
The event will celebrate the high-impact entrepreneurship movement in Miami, uniting more than 350 business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors and international influencers. Endeavor Miami is the first U.S. affiliate of Endeavor, an organization dedicated to accelerating entrepreneurship and fueling worldwide economic growth by building communities of high-impact entrepreneurs and innovators. It launched in 2013 with the support of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. Since then,15 South Florida entrepreneurs have been introduced to Endeavor’s global network of business leaders, mentors and investors.
“We choose honorees each year that reflect the characteristics we believe will inspire our entrepreneurs to push forward on their own,” said Laura Maydon, Managing Director of Endeavor Miami. “Jessica is a visionary leader whose accomplishments have transformed Wynwood – a community now synonymous with innovation and change in Miami – and we are thrilled to be honoring her as we host this year’s gala in her neighborhood.”
As Endeavor Miami’s honoree, Goldman Srebnick will be receiving the IMPACT award. Last year, the IMPACT award recipients were Jim McKelvey, Co-founder of Square and Founder of LaunchCode, and Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, Co-founder of Gilt and GLAMSQUAD.
The Endeavor Miami 2016 Gala will be held Saturday, Oct. 22 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at Soho Studios. For event details, please visit www.endeavormiami.org.
