We believe Endeavor will be an undeniable resource to us as we expand Chargello globally
MIAMI (Oct. 26, 2017) – Endeavor Miami announced today that Johnny Bosche and Freddy Sidi were selected as Endeavor Entrepreneurs at Endeavor’s 75th International Selection Panel (ISP). The ISP was held in Sofia, Bulgaria from Oct. 23-25. Bosche and Sidi are the founders of Chargello, an adtech company.
Freddy and Johnny, both born in Latin America, founded the company in Miami in 2015. Chargello is focused on building a platform to solve the low-battery problem in public places, such as restaurants and airports, via its proprietary, portable batteries. The batteries not only charge phones, but also serve as an advertising platform. In just one year of operations, Chargello has placed its batteries in over 4,500 businesses across 22 countries, and is already working with global brands such as Diageo, Heineken and Uber.
“We believe Endeavor will be an undeniable resource to us as we expand Chargello globally,” said Bosche, co-founder of Chargello. “We are thrilled to now be part of such an influential network, as Endeavor will guide us with our growth strategy into 100 countries by the end of 2018.”
Endeavor’s ISP is the culmination of a rigorous selection process where panels composed of top global business leaders, entrepreneurs and investors interview candidates about their business model, leadership potential and timing. In order for an entrepreneur to be selected, they must receive a unanimous vote from the entire panel. Each panel consisted of sets of six world-class business leaders, who interviewed Chargello’s co-founders, giving them targeted feedback.
“I couldn’t be happier to welcome Chargello, our first hardware and adtech company, into the Endeavor Miami portfolio,” said Laura Maydón, managing director of Endeavor Miami. “As we support Chargello in scaling rapidly via a robust advisory board and additional services, I am confident that Johnny and Freddy will act as role models to inspire the burgeoning South Florida entrepreneurial ecosystem.”
Endeavor Entrepreneurs receive services that include mentorship and access to capital, global markets and talent. Endeavor Miami launched in September 2013 with the support of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation as the first U.S. affiliate of Endeavor Global. Endeavor Miami’s entrepreneurs are now generating close to $130 million in revenues and 1,600 jobs in South Florida in 2017.
“It has been incredibly exciting to watch the growth of Endeavor Miami and its entrepreneurs over these past four years,” said Chris Caines, Knight Foundation interim program director for Miami. “Endeavor’s success help fuel the growth and stature of the Miami entrepreneurial ecosystem, and Knight is proud to have supported Endeavor Miami from the very beginning.”
