A new tech company has been added to Endeavor Miami’s growing portfolio of Endeavor Entrepreneurs. Endeavor Miami announced today that Voyhoy is now the 23rd Endeavor Miami active company, after being selected at Endeavor Global’s 81st International Selection Panel (ISP) in Detroit, held from July 30- Aug 1st. The company’s co-founders include Jake Moskowitz, Roger Robinson, and Ignacio Vial.
Voyhoy is a multimodal booking platform where travelers can compare and buy, bus, plane, train, and ferry tickets through different routes in South America. It focuses primarily on the most affordable tickets for cost-conscious travelers in the region and finds creative ways to get from A to B by combining multiple tickets into a single transaction. Since launching in late 2015, Voyhoy has grown its users, aggregated hundreds of transportation companies, increased its ticket coverage to offer multimodal comparison and expanded into new markets.
“After our time in the Techstars accelerator program in Detroit, we moved our headquarters from Chile to Miami largely due to the strength and enthusiasm of its startup ecosystem,” said Jake Moskowitz, Co-founder, and CEO of Voyhoy. “I have no doubt that being part of Miami’s entrepreneurial community will contribute to our company’s growth and success, and joining Endeavor will certainly help us get there faster.”
“We couldn’t be happier to welcome Voyhoy into the Endeavor Miami family, a tech company in the travel industry,” said Laura Maydón, Managing Director of Endeavor Miami. “I look forward to seeing how Voyhoy, with Endeavor’s support, will accelerate their growth and in turn, their founders, give back to our South Florida entrepreneurial community.”
Endeavor’s ISP is the culmination of a rigorous selection process where panels composed of top global business leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors, interview candidates about their business model, leadership potential, and timing. In order for an entrepreneur to be selected, they must receive a unanimous vote from the entire panel. Each panel consisted of sets of six world-class business leaders, who interviewed Voyhoy, giving the founders targeted feedback. Steve McKean, a serial entrepreneur, and Endeavor Miami mentor participated as a panelist interviewing other companies.
Endeavor Entrepreneurs receive services that include mentorship and access to capital, global markets, and talent. Having launched its operation in September 2013 with the support of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Endeavor Miami possesses an active local board of business leaders that believe high-impact entrepreneurship can transform Miami.
