eMerge Americas and Endeavor Entrepreneurs in the Spotlight

There are a lot of people on the ground committed to supporting Miami’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, including Knight Foundation, eMerge Americas, Refresh Miami and more. This week our ecosystem received special attention thanks to the annual eMerge Americas conference and Steve Case’s Rise of the Rest Tour. We are proud to say that Endeavor Entrepreneurs had a strong presence at both events, a clear indication that their impact on our community is tangible.

The week started with eMerge Americas, the premier tech event connecting the Americas, with over 15,000 attendees. Endeavor Miami hosted a panel moderated by Managing Director Laura Maydón, with Endeavor Entrepreneurs Verónica Pascual (ASTI), Matteo Cera (Hogaru) and Jorge Prado (The Fastmind) from Spain, Colombia and Miami, respectively. The panel was titled “From Startups to ScaleUps: A Conversation with Endeavor Entrepreneurs.” The panel discussed everything from growing high performing teams to the intricacies of scaling across borders.

A big component of eMerge Americas is its startup showcase, where companies from around LATAM present their businesses to panelists and attendees. Several Endeavor companies and candidates from Colombia, Mexico and Miami participated in the showcase.

Endeavor Outliers, Verónica Pascual (ASTI) and Anabel Perez (NovoPayment) held a fireside chat during our Endeavor Network Luncheon at New World Symphony with Endeavor Entrepreneurs, mentors and board members from around the world. Pascual and Perez spoke about their experiences as entrepreneurs and shared their advice with our audience. “If you want to be successful with your customers, be close to your customers, so you understand them and make your customers be successful,” shared Anabel Perez, CEO NovoPayment and Endeavor Entrepreneur and Board Member.

At another panel, Endeavor Miami Board Member and Knight Foundation program director, Raul Moas, spoke about the need to “put founders in the driver’s seat” to set the agenda for the ecosystem to grow and evolve as a hub for innovation.

eMerge Americas is led by Endeavor Miami Board Member Melissa Medina. We are extremely grateful for their partnership with Endeavor and look forward to next year’s event!
