  • For its first cohort, EndeavorLAB will focus on scaling female entrepreneurs in the Miami ecosystem
  • The partnership will enable Endeavor Miami to fuel job creation and talent development

July 9th, 2020 – Miami, FL – Today, Endeavor Miami – the first U.S. affiliate of the global organization supporting entrepreneurship – announced that it has partnered with the City of Miami to launch the first cohort of its accelerated growth program, EndeavorLAB. With the joint-objective of supporting female-entrepreneurship and equipping female founders with the right tools and skills to scale their ventures, thus fostering local economic wealth.

Following the approval of the funds by city commissioners on March 2nd, 2020 the city will donate a total of $50,000 this year. The city’s investment is expected to scale-up Miami’s female entrepreneurial community, leveraging Endeavor’s over 20-year experience mentoring scaleups.

“We’re at a critical time for our city, and it is imperative that our economy continues to grow. We chose to partner with Endeavor Miami specifically because of their extensive expertise scaling businesses,” said Francis Suarez, Mayor of the City of Miami. “Ensuring that all entrepreneurs are able to thrive in Miami has been a cornerstone of my administration. We are proud to offer this opportunity to female entrepreneurs.”

EndeavorLAB, a two-month accelerated growth program, reflects Endeavor’s structure as an organization and leverages the knowledge and best-in-class services and tools used to support entrepreneurs in the network. Through EndeavorLAB, Endeavor will support local early-stage companies with a market-tested business model, to accelerate their growth through access to seasoned mentors, workshops and exclusive content. In its first iteration of the program, EndeavorLAB will focus solely on female entrepreneurs.

“We are honored to partner with the City of Miami, which will help us deepen the impact that we have had within our community,” said Claudia Duran, Managing Director of Endeavor Miami. “This partnership with the City of Miami recognizes the importance of fostering entrepreneurship, at all levels, to continue driving the growth of Miami as a key entrepreneurial hub.”

Endeavor Miami worked closely with other ecosystem leaders and partners to look for female entrepreneurs having a tangible impact in Miami, to ensure a wide variety of companies applied to the program. “Endeavor has always been a community effort, so it was important to us that we continue to build on the great work of other ecosystem builders in Miami,” elaborated Andrea Torres, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Endeavor Miami. EndeavorLAB will host its first cohort at CIC Miami, located in downtown Miami. In light of the current situation, the program will launch virtually.

Endeavor Miami will be partnering with Ninety.US to conduct the Diagnostics of the EndeavorLAB companies. The sessions will be led by Juan Damia, Founding Partner  of Ninety.US to identify the key challenges to their growth.
