At Endeavor, we believe entrepreneurship is built on identity. For many of our Latin American founders, their roots are not something they leave behind but instead what guides every step forward. This Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate the entrepreneurs whose heritage shapes how they build, lead, and inspire others.
We asked a few Endeavor Entrepreneurs what their heritage means to them, and how it shows up in the way they lead.
Juan Damia, CEO & Founder of Rocketbeet in Argentina, said his heritage taught him the power of human connection.
“In the U.S., every barrier felt bigger than expected. But Hispanic grit turns obstacles into sparks, and sparks into innovation. That’s how we build stronger, more creative companies. What my heritage gave me is simple: the power of human connection. Every step in my journey was built with and through others.”
For Jorge A. Ruiz M., CEO & Founder of FinConecta in Bolivia, his heritage drives him to build with purpose and make growth something that’s shared.
“As Latinos, our cultural richness and deep understanding of need guide us to build responsibly and inclusively. Networks amplify this mission, allowing us to grow globally while leaving the world better than we received it.”
Felipe Sommer, Co-Founder of Nearpod in Argentina, said his roots taught him to balance creativity with resilience in the way he leads.
“As an entrepreneur, I’ve learned the power of blending resilience and creativity from my culture with the discipline of building in the U.S. Embracing my roots has shaped my leadership, helped me connect with diverse communities, and driven me to create ventures with real impact.”
This month, and every month, we honor the Hispanic founders who lead with purpose, heart, and authenticity. Their journeys remind us that the strongest ventures are those built with identity at their core.
