Entrepreneurs Gain Access to Globally-renowned Expertise, Mentorship, and Resources in Endeavor Miami’s Fall 2023 ScaleUp Cohort

Miami, FL, August 24th, 2023 – Endeavor Miami, a part of the global Endeavor network, is thrilled to introduce the latest trailblazers selected for the Fall 2023 Endeavor ScaleUp cohort. This initiative is a powerful catalyst designed to expedite the trajectory of high-growth Florida-based founders. By providing actionable strategies, unparalleled networking opportunities, and a wealth of resources, Endeavor ScaleUp empowers these entrepreneurs to not only achieve their scaling ambitions but also fosters a newfound sense of belonging, community, and purpose that might have been absent previously. As they seize the opportunities to amplify their growth and broaden their market presence, they become the driving force behind a more vibrant and innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem.

“Endeavor ScaleUp represents an exceptional chance for entrepreneurs to harness our extensive global expertise and access a carefully curated suite of resources and services that fuel their growth journey,” said Claudia Duran, Managing Director of Endeavor Miami. “We are thrilled to support this cohort of extraordinary Florida-based companies in their quest for scaling.”

In the Fall 2023 Endeavor ScaleUp cohort, there is a dynamic group of 18 founders leading 10 rapidly growing companies, all of whom are primed to make significant waves in their respective industries. This cohort showcases a rich diversity of talent, with 70% of the founders identifying as Latinx and 12% as women.

Each of these ventures, on average, were established four years ago and operate in varied sectors, including EdTech, Enterprise SaaS, Gaming, and Fintech with a notable concentration in the HealthCare space. Despite being based in Florida, these companies have successfully extended their reach to various countries in LatAm and Europe. Together, they have an impressive workforce of over 288 individuals and have raised a grand amount of more than $37M in external capital. Remarkably, this investment has been put to great use, with nearly half of these companies tripling their size within the past year.

The founders bring an impressive array of experience to their companies, having held C-suite positions or previously established ventures in their respective industries. With a forecasted combined revenue of nearly $24M in 2023 and a plan to continue growing at last year’s pace, this collective of locally founded businesses is poised to leave a significant mark on the Florida startup ecosystem and beyond.

“Endeavor ScaleUp is not just an initiative – it’s a mission. We’re deeply dedicated to addressing the unique challenges that high-growth companies face and providing them with the unwavering support they need to embark on their ambitious scaling journey,” said Rebecca Negro Rocha, who leads Cohort Initiatives at Endeavor Miami. “By nurturing the growth of these visionary companies, we’re doing more than just fostering success – we’re sparking a ripple effect that will create jobs, invigorate the economy, and help shape a brighter, more prosperous future for Florida.”

Endeavor ScaleUp is open to Florida-based companies that are actively engaged in significant mass commercialization efforts and are currently generating $1M to $4M in annual revenue. The chosen companies will participate in a 17-week initiative comprising group modules, one-on-one mentorships, peer discussions, office hours on scaling strategies, access to Endeavor resources and ad hoc service, culminating in a Demo Day where founders will present to the Endeavor community for brand visibility, strategic networking, and pitch practice.

Endeavor ScaleUp brilliantly merges the best elements of accelerator programs and membership-based organizations, offering founders an effective, value-rich solution for smooth scaling. The cohort-based approach allows Endeavor to deliver timely, impactful support, while the forum-style peer community fosters valuable connections and network growth among participating entrepreneurs. Furthermore, the presence of dedicated staff members who help entrepreneurs navigate the Endeavor network and resources, serving simultaneously as account managers, with the ultimate goal of helping founders succeed in their goals.

Previous cohorts of Endeavor Miami’s cohort-based initiatives have achieved remarkable success, with alumni companies collectively raising over $200M in capital and generating over 1,500 jobs in 2022.
