By using stablecoins to facilitate the back-end payment flow, Félix can offer customers fast and cost-effective money transfers starting at $2.99 per transaction. The company most recently raised a $15.5M Series A led by Castle Island Ventures in May 2024.

Manuel Godoy
Manuel Godoy, born in Venezuela, is passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems. After earning bachelor's and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Caltech, he began his career as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Schlumberger, developing advanced technologies for the energy sector.
Manuel later co-founded Bitely, a digital food industry platform, which shaped his understanding of product development and startups. Returning to the energy sector, he led innovation as Director of Product Development at MicroSilicon Inc.
In 2019, he pursued an MBA at Wharton, where he partnered with Bernardo Garcia to tackle financial challenges faced by immigrants. Personal experiences, including his mother’s struggles sending money to rural Venezuela, inspired them to create a more accessible remittance solution. Through grassroots research, they developed Félix, a WhatsApp bot for remittances, offering a trusted and user-friendly alternative

Bernardo Garcia
Bernardo Garcia, originally from Mexico, is an entrepreneur dedicated to addressing financial challenges for immigrant communities. After earning a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, he began his career at McKinsey & Co., refining his skills in strategy and business development.
He later transitioned to the tech sector, working on market expansion at Uber and contributing to autonomous vehicle innovations at Waymo. Inspired by these experiences, Bernardo pursued an MBA at Wharton, where he partnered with Manuel Godoy to tackle financial barriers faced by immigrants.
Their shared experiences, including Manuel’s family’s struggles with remittances, led them to develop Félix, a platform reimagining remittances via a WhatsApp bot. Grounded in grassroots research, their solution combines trust and accessibility for U.S.-based Latinos.
