MIAMI, FL – September 20, 2021 – Endeavor Miami, an affiliate of the global Endeavor organization supporting entrepreneurship, announced that it is accepting applications for the fourth cohort of its accelerated growth program, EndeavorLAB. The two-month, audience specific program will focus on female-entrepreneurship and equipping female founders with the right tools and skills to scale their ventures, thus fostering local economic growth.
According to a study by BCG, women-led startups raised 36 times less money in 2017 than those founded by men. Despite that funding-gap, startups founded and co-founded by women actually performed better over time, generating 10% more cumulative revenue over a 5-year period and growing 46% in revenue, much faster than average business.
“We have seen the difference these audience-specific growth programs can make,” said Claudia Duran, Managing Director of Endeavor Miami. “It allows us to offer highly customized sessions to fit the needs of each group, bringing stronger businesses to South Florida.”
EndeavorLAB reflects Endeavor’s structure as an organization and leverages the knowledge and best-in-class services and tools used to support entrepreneurs in the network. Through EndeavorLAB, Endeavor will support local early-stage companies with a market-tested business model, to accelerate their growth through access to seasoned mentors, workshops and exclusive content. Most of the program sessions will take place virtually.
The following requirements are needed to apply:
- Entrepreneur must be a founder.
- Founder must identify as a woman.
- Company must be based in South Florida.
- Company must have product-market fit.
- Companies must be generating at least $50K in AR.
- All industries are welcome to apply as long as the solution is not service based.
