ix cohorts of the EndeavorLAB and ScaleUp programs are planned for the year – including a climate tech-focused initiative in partnership with Future of Cities

MIAMI, FL – January 18, 2022 – Endeavor Miami, an affiliate of the global Endeavor organization supporting entrepreneurship, announced today that it is accepting applications for all 2022 cohorts of its accelerated growth programs, ScaleUp Program and EndeavorLAB.

ScaleUp Program is a four-month acceleration program designed to support startups with high-impact potential in the Miami ecosystem to create a path for scale. Selection criteria include 2 full-time employees, being based in Florida, having product-market-fit and generating between $800K and $2.5M in annual revenues. The ScaleUp Program Spring Cohort will run between March 15th and June 23rd. The deadline to apply is Sunday, February 20th. Founders participating in this program pay a fixed fee and do not give up any equity. For more details and to apply, visit https://mailchi.mp/endeavor/miamiscaleupprogram.

EndeavorLAB is a two-month, audience-specific, accelerated growth program designed to support local early-stage companies in establishing their business foundations post-revenue generation. Selection criteria include being based in Florida, having product-market-fit and generating between $50K and $500K in annual revenues. Founders participating in this program receive a scholarship sponsored by the partner.

The first EndeavorLAB of the year will be powered by Future of Cities, a mission-driven organization and consortium dedicated to transforming communities through sustainable development. The program will focus on assisting minority-led climate tech companies creating innovative solutions to help improve our resilience to climate change or reduce our carbon footprint. Running between March 8th and May 5th, with an application deadline on February 13th. This initiative is the result of fundraising efforts at the “Venture into Nature retreat,” held at ChoZen, and the support of Silicon Valley Bank. Since their inception, Endeavor Miami’s Programs have gone to accelerate 75 companies, which together have generated over $50 million in annual revenues, employed 651 people and raised $68 million to date. In addition, the Programs hold an approval rate of 94%, consistently deliver over 60 hours of curated content to each company (program dependent) and leverage the expertise of 30+ Endeavor network members for the benefit of participating entrepreneurs.

Scale-ups – companies at least three years old with a minimum of 20% CAGR – are important to the development of an economy because once they hit moderate scale or greater, they generate 80% of jobs in Miami. However, Endeavor Insight research shows that 99% of startups in Miami die before reaching 5 years of operation. In 2019, Endeavor Miami launched its accelerator programs – ScaleUp Program and EndeavorLAB – to bridge the gap between startup to scale-up with support that actually helps companies scale.

“I made very interesting connections that I will take outside of the program, which is a testament of the success of EndeavorLAB – you bring people together and your impact echoes past the end of the program. I can’t express enough gratitude for the impact the program has had on our work,” said Olivia Ramos, Founder of Deepblocks.

“The program was incredibly successful. It puts an entrepreneur in the right mindset, surrounding them with super smart subject experts. It upped my game, and I’m significantly more conscious and organized post this program, more than I expected,” said Marc Billings, Founder and CEO of Blackdove.

“Founders are choosing more and more South Florida as their home to build up their companies,” said Claudia Duran, Managing Director of Endeavor Miami. “We are pleased to offer programs like these to help keep local companies strong and thriving.”
