Wyncode Academy is a coding boot camp providing accelerated learning services to develop coders with business acumen. Wyncode was acquired by BrainStation in January 2021.
Jo Mikkola
Johanna Mikkola is the Vice-President and General Manager of BrainStation Miami and the former CEO and Co-Founder of Wyncode Academy. In early 2021, Wyncode was acquired by BrainStation, the global leader in digital skills training, which has trained over 100,000 professionals in more than 90 countries. BrainStation is on a mission to train 1 million professionals by 2025, and Johanna leads the company’s ambitious expansion in the fast-growing Florida market.
Johanna holds an honors Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Toronto. In 2007 she represented Canada as a forward at the World Floorball Championships.
Juha Mikkola
Juha Mikkola is a serial entrepreneur who is comfortable operating in vastly different industries. He Co-Founded Wyncode in 2014 and exited the company in 2021 when it was acquired by BrainStation, the global leader in digital skills training, which has trained over 100,000 professionals in more than 90 countries. He is currently building Usko Privacy, a data marketplace of the future, where users own their data and can opt to monetize it on their terms.
He finished his studies at the University of Toronto where he graduated with a degree in business 4with high distinction before moving to Miami to start Wyncode in 2014. He and his wife Johanna are parents to two boys.
