Get to know our Endeavor Mentor đźš€ Mor Assouline, Founder of FDTC, in this mentor spotlight.

Why did you decide to join the Endeavor Network?

If I can help founders develop an incredible edge and shorten their learning curve so they may successfully build a real business and achieve scale. That is fulfilling to me.

Tell us about your background and why you decided to become a mentor.

When I was 22 years old, I landed my first real job fresh out of college and was ready to be a “career person.” But when I came into work for my first day, I quickly realized that I was terrified of sales and quit within the first hour. I missed several career opportunities and wasted away my early 20s.

Fast forward to 2021, I’m a former three-time VP of sales for B2B SaaS startups and helped triple ARR in 12 months for two companies. I took the time to learn everything I could about sales and learned the value of investing in myself, the power of getting out of my comfort zone. To make sure others do not need to spend years learning the same lessons, I launched my own sales training and coaching business focused on B2B SaaS Sales. I want to pay those lessons forward as a mentor and help founders successfully build and scale their businesses.

What are the most important qualities and characteristics that mentors should have?

Empathy, Curiosity, Self-Awareness, Attentiveness, Active Listening, Collaborativeness

Any general advice for entrepreneurs?

Build a brand as much as you’re building your product. Business is competitive, and it feels like everyone has the same features and products with slight nuances. What makes a business stand out beyond its product is its brand. People buy Coke or Nike more so because of brand awareness, not because of their quality.

What are you reading?

2 main books: Blitzscaling by Chris Yeh and Reid Hoffman and The Gates of Trust. I frequently read lessons in copywriting, and my favorite site to visit is marketingexamples.com.
